In the spirit of that first week of bluesky where our feeds were full of pictures of mushrooms, stars and landscapes, here's a blurry photo of a magpie nest on campus. I watched them place their first sticks a few weeks ago and now it's a fully formed nest (yay)! #Swoopyboiseason is coming (yikes)

I won't ask for help for things I think I can work out how to do myself. It rarely pays off but just enough that I keep living like this.
Today I thought I could copy one LMS site to another because I missed the window for IT to do this for me. 1 hour later & all my content folders are dead links 🙃

Last-day-of-work nightmare... Colleague emails to say that you forgot to attach a very important file. The aforementioned file (that you definitely saved) is no longer able to be retrieved on your computer.

Last-day-of-work miracle... MS Word 'recover unsaved files' restores the file in full.

- 306 senior uni execs earn more than their state premiers
- average Vice Chancellor salary over $1 million
- Unis spent $734 million in 2023 on "consulting” etc

Meantime, we're constantly told by execs we have to cut spending
