My three year old has a snow day tomorrow. I do not. We don’t have many childcare options on the fly so I have to take a day off. I just spent about 1.5 hours preparing lesson plans… not many other jobs are like this! But! I got to hear some thundersnow while I was working on things ❄️ ⚡️

Thankful for the little moments in class, like when a student is giggling uncontrollably because they are redrawing a chemistry thing they saw on insta to share with me. I don’t really know this meme, but so happy they are in on the joke because of things we are learning 🩷🧪🤓 #iteachchem

I always talk about how building Lewis structures is like putting a little puzzle together, so this year I decided to just go ahead and make one. I think this really helped my students see the octet around that central atom and get some practice drawing their first structures. #iteachchem

This time of year, I get to see the sun rise and set on my commute to and from work. I’m hoping to use this new account to connect with other educators. It already seems so nice around here!
