It's a tool that allows OT's to focus on functional cognition which is an important part of our practice
If I had to choose one tool that has informed my practice as an OT it is the PRPP (Perceive, Recall, Plan, Perform) System. In neuropsych terms it is framework for OTs to use for behavioural observations, formulation and treatment. www.occupationalperformance.com/the-perceive...

Cost-efficiency data for rehabilitation are complex to collect. Further, cost-saving occurs in other budgets, limiting their effect to systems that allow rational societal planning. Natasha Lannin et al. replicated UK studies, finding similar global savings. bmjopen.bmj.com/content/14/1...

It's great that stroke recovery is getting in the news www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... It does speak to our need to believe in the 'new' though. VNS targets those who should respond well to intensive standard movement training anyway. The science should maybe focus on those without finger movement?
