Interesting that although the data shows that Scotland and Wales have the highest average costs, the @theguardian.com only appears to have held the UK Gov in England to account. We need national media to play this role across the devolved nations

How does this translate into seats?

Inputting this data using @CavendishCymru seat projector the data looks like this 👇

🔷Reform: 33
🌼PC: 30
🌹Labour: 25
🌳Conservatives: 6
🟠Lib Dems: 2
🟩Green: 0
⬜️Other:0

No party is on course for a majority, 49 seats is the magic number.

Prevention can be better than cure. We know this.

But what does prevention mean in health? Why is it often a cheaper and effective route than treatment? And how can it work beyond the NHS?

This new explainer from @nestauk.bsky.social (written using a UK Gov lens) breaks it down: bit.ly/43rGPX1
What is prevention in health and why is it the right approach?
Prevention means stopping illness before it starts, so taking this approach can lead to better public health outcomes, productivity gains, and fewer chronic conditions

Reducing obesity is urgent and achievable. We need to be bold and brave. I hope that all party manifestos will prioritise obesity as a critical responsibility for the First Minister, committing to halve the disparity in healthy life expectancy between Wales’ richest and poorest regions by 2030
The Welsh Senedd has voted to restrict the promotion of unhealthy food items in certain ways in Wales - a positive step towards improving health.
