I am in downtown Los Angeles right now and it is completely surreal to hear that Trump is sending Marines here. We are listening to mariachi music. People have dogs. There are teenagers here. It is utterly and completely peaceful. Please tell your friends.

I had a convo today with a friend who is disappointed, but canceling an upcoming US trip to a church there where they have a connection.
I made a comment that probably many of those church members voted for trump. (It's pretty conservative)
She said, no, I think they're good people,

So, my takeaway today is that Trudeau resigned, which is what the cons said they wanted, but then they found out it doesn't mean that PP is automatically crowned King so they are still mad.
