I agree, for movies I already want to see. But if I'm ambivalent, it's nice to know the writing is embarrassing *before* I pay to see the thing.
The really exhausting ones are the Big Deal movies that get 3 teasers and 3 trailers, and the studio hypes each thing like we should all care.
