@andrew-wiebe.bsky.social I’d love to hear about the “back pass” no-call in the ~62nd minute of SKC / VAN match tonight. Feels like the right no-call, but what do the rules say?

This is scary but I'm taking The Film Maven off Substack and have transferred to Ghost. Not only does this give me complete ownership of my work, but also means I won't continue to lose money to Substack and Apple. I lay everything out for Subscribers here.

I installed the Fair Package Manager (@fairpm) on my personal site last night. I'm excited to say it worked flawlessly. A couple of plugins were updated from Fastly's servers, & a paid plugin updated from its servers as normal. I'm excited to see what else comes from this interesting development.

@gruber.foo I suspect the CIRP survey is looking only at the US market (not even or Americas), which has a higher concentration of iPads than global markets. 78% of the US iPhone users having iPads makes more sense. Globally iPads are less popular, meaning lower overall revenue.

I've seen people raise concerns about the WPE injunction similar to this in a few different places, including Hacker News and Twitter. (In other words, not trying to drag brinavan - this is a Bluesky example of a common, and not unreasonable, concern.)

Here's why I don't share that concern:
On what basis did the judge rule that Matt improperly triggered an interruption of voluntarily giving WPEngine a distro server? Did he rule that Matt surrendered rights of propriety by advertising it as public? Or did he inexplicably rule that Matt is entitled to support WPE's business indefinitely?

@questauthority.bsky.social Unless we get a last minute WPE PI... I'd love to hear more about the 9 new claims in the amended complaint today, if possible.

(And, perhaps some insight into why Automattic decided not to submit an actual draft PI, as the judge requested...)
