Astrobotic's Griffin Mission One - with the FLIP rover primary cargo, and carrying the Lunar Codex's Polaris archive via GLPH and MoonBox - has been delayed to its next viable launch window, no earlier than (NET) July 2026.

Astrobotic's Griffin-1 continues its progress toward delivering Astrolab’s FLIP rover, its own CubeRover, and other payloads to the Moon.

Key milestones have been propulsion and avionics integration, software simulations and payload readiness testing.

NASA’s VIPER mission to search for water on the Moon was originally slated to launch with Astrobotic's Griffin mission, but was pulled back.

NASA has now announced its intent to award a CLPS contract to Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin to potentially deliver VIPER to the Moon’s south pole in late 2027.
