Just heard a @springernature.com journal is requiring authors to pay for open access (~$5k) to submit an invited paper if they want to be compliant with the new NIH policy.

If that's how Springer is planning to handle things going forward, I know of a number of journals I will no longer submit to.

The entire National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) team at SAMHSA was terminated today.

Do not listen to the platitudes of this administration when they say they care about drug overdose, addiction, mental health, or suicide.

Our new study out today in JAMA:

US schools from 2008-20:
✅ Mental health education: 83.8% → 89.8%
✅ Suicide prevention: 70.1% → 81.8%
✅ Teacher training for mental health: 36.1% → 67.7%

But substance use prevention training? Still stuck at ~45%
