Migrants from non-EEA+ regions were less likely to seek professional mental health help than non-migrants, but only at high psychological distress levels, and especially when they did not recognise symptoms as a mental health problem.

Main take-away messages from Day 0 #GSMERH2025:
Migration health needs networks not silos, real community engagement, & research that serves policy & people. Shift the narrative from burden to resilience, root work in anti-racism & solidarity, and protect the next generation of researchers. 🌍

The Duke Humphrey’s library in Oxford is hands down the most beautiful place I’ve ever sat down to work!
Also became very aware that I was surrounded by books that are essentially older than my entire discipline 📚
