Brilliant paper. But two doubts from a non-econometrician: should we compare UK-EU with UK RoW? D.Novy's data suggests that UK has done worse in EU market than RoW has done. I can't see how this model shows no neg impact on UK-RoW. My reading is: Brexit has damaged productivity of UK supply side
Interesting paper — and one that will provoke more debate between economists on best way to measure Brexit effects. @johnspringford.bsky.social @michaelgasiorek.bsky.social and Jun Du at Aston take different approaches
Nice FT write-up of our new Brexit & trade paper by the always excellent @pmdfoster.bsky.social

Rightly notes that our findings (goods exports⬇️6.4% due to TCA, imports ⬇️3.1%) suggest OBR's forecast (long-run trade ⬇️15%) may be an over-estimate of the impact of Brexit

Labour's red lines aren't the issue in the EU reset. It is the timidity in talking abut youth mobility or alignment, not saying anything on linking emissions trading, not fleshing out what sort of SPS deal, not talking PEM, and so on. www.theguardian.com/business/202...
