Albertans are worse off than they were in 2019. It's time for a government that cares about you.
Bill 9 is the UCP’s latest attempt to override your rights using the notwithstanding clause. That’s not democracy — it’s authoritarian power. The Charter and the Alberta Bill of Rights exist to protect us, not to be ignored by government.

Once again, Premier Smith is backtracking on her promise that no Albertan would pay out of pocket to see a family doctor. Instead, we’re seeing American-style healthcare creep into Alberta, leaving people behind while costs go up.

For the second time, the UCP has voted down Bill 201 — a bill that would have stopped restaurant owners from taking the tips their employees earned. Workers deserve to keep what’s theirs.

Premier Smith, protect workers’ tips, not your pals. Contact your MLA today. This is not okay.

Albertans are paying more for less. Smith allowed uncontrolled increases in auto insurance premiums, which will go up anaother 15% or more in the next two years. Time for a public model like Saskatchewan’s.

Separatism puts Alberta’s capital and investment returns at real risk. At the Heritage Trust Fund meeting I asked the fund manager if they had evaluated the impact of separatism, similar to an analysis they did on Brexit. The answer? No. Why not?

Leader @naheednenshi.bsky.social, my AB NDP colleagues, and I will continue to stand and march with teachers. As Albertans, we cannot take this lightly - these are our kids, our future. Using the notwithstanding clause to silence their voices is unconstitutional and unacceptable.

Thank you Elboya Parent Council for sharing information about the Jacket Racket event at Elboya School. Please bring your gently used warm winter gear that you may no longer need to Elboya School. Let’s do our part to help ensure everyone stays warm during the upcoming winter season.

I, leader @naheednenshi.bsky.social, and our Alberta New Democrat colleagues will always stand with teachers and fight for the quality education every child deserves. Teachers need real support and all Albertans want smaller class sizes.

Thank you to all my incredible volunteers for joining the Call for Action today with @naheednenshi.bsky.social and my colleagues from @sgsp-abndp.bsky.social. Your dedication and energy remind us that we are truly better together.

Standing with our teachers today and every day. Alberta is Canada’s richest province - there’s no excuse for having the lowest student funding. Our classrooms deserve investment, not neglect. End this strike now, Danielle Smith.

Together with @naheednenshi.bsky.social
and my AB NDP colleagues, I stand with Alberta’s teachers today and every day. It’s time for Danielle Smith to end this strike.

It’s Hindu Heritage month, a chance to celebrate Hindus in Canada. Remember, it’s the accomplishments of Hindus in Canada that help make Canada great.

Proud to stand with teachers at the Public Education March. They’re not just fighting for fair wages - they’re fighting for every child’s right to a safe classroom, proper supports, and a better future.

Thank you Indian Society of Calgary for hosting such a wonderful Diwali Ustav! It was a joy celebrating with my AB NDP colleagues and the vibrant community - a true festival of light, togetherness, and culture.

Thank you Aveva for having me on your keynote panel! It’s difficult to build large projects right now, but Rachel Notely’s proved it could be done with the Transmountain Expansion. We need an Alberta government focused on building things to build our economy.

Please get your flu shot, and covid shot if you qualify or are able to afford it. Protecting yourself and those around you is what Albertans do.

Underfunding and lack of support mean it’s not just students with complex needs being left behind - it’s all kids. One person can only do so much. No one should face these conditions, especially teachers. Premier Smith, end the strike. Give our kids the education they deserve.
October 21, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Premier Smith, you boast about supporting public education, yet it’s teachers and education staff who make it work despite your government’s defunding. They deserve respect and fair treatment - they’re shaping the citizens of tomorrow, and our children deserve that today. End the strike now.
October 20, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Premier Smith, it’s time to end this strike. Teachers are asking for fair wages and manageable class sizes - so our kids can get the quality education they deserve. They are our tomorrow, and they deserve better today.

It's always a joy to talk to teachers!

I’m incredibly grateful to the Calgary-area pharmacists who gave up their evening to share the challenges they are facing in serving Albertans’ health care needs. Pharmacists are important partners in health care and deserve respect from Danielle Smith’s government.

Dan, a teacher and constituent, stopped by my office to talk about how overcrowded classrooms are failing to meet every child’s unique needs. Every student deserves the right support, resources, and education staff to help them succeed.
October 9, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Premier Smith, our children, teachers, education workers, and parents can’t wait any longer. End this strike now and meet the fair, reasonable demands for better wages, safe classroom sizes, and the essentials every school needs.
