Georgia House Rep. Gabriel Sanchez joined A Better Cobb at the Cobb County Commissioners meeting to condemn ICE & call for action.

Rep. Sanchez’s office has hired an immigrant liaison & introduced House Bill 889, which requires federal agents to clearly identify themselves.

Symbols matter.

Sharing this as the co-founder of A Better Cobb, a nonprofit I started.

Our board chair, Robie Mitchell, asked Cobb commissioners to commit to due process, reject abuses of power, and state that immigrants are welcome.

A special @mariettabikesocial this Saturday to honor Alex Pretti, a member of the cycling community. Come as you are and bring your friends and family and children for this community bike ride. Meet us in downtown Marietta!

Speaking during public comment at the Cobb County Board of Commissioners meeting.

This moment is shaped by real tragedies—the deaths of Renee Good, Keith Porter, & Alex Pretti, whose killings by ICE have sparked national outrage.

Today I asked our county leaders how they are keeping people safe.

Leadership means showing up

First ever Marietta Bike Social cancellation this Saturday (Jan 24) due to weather.

When I ran for mayor, I walked and biked nearly every street in Marietta and talked with neighbors, housed and unhoused.

MUST Ministries runs Cobb’s only warming center. That’s a lot for one group.

Stay warm❤️

If you dropped your ocarina on Franklin Gateway, it’s ours now 🤣🧹

Found during our Martin Luther King Jr. Day cleanup with A Better Cobb.
An actual ocarina straight out of The Legend of Zelda 🎶

Other notable finds included a solid bag of concrete, several tires, and yes… some teeth 😬

Thanks to A Better Cobb & Atlanta DSA for sponsoring this MLK Day cleanup on Franklin Gateway💛🧹

Props to
• Jaha Howard, GA State Senator
• Gabriel Sanchez, GA State Rep

• Christina Rogers, School Board

Join us this Monday on Franklin Gateway for a day of community care

We’ll start with a light neighborhood cleanup, then share lunch together afterward at Jerusalem Bakery.

This is a family friendly event, so bring the kids, bring a friend, and come spend a little time making our neighborhood shine

Ever wondered how local government actually works?

📅 Wed, January 14
⏰ 7:00 PM
📍 Marietta City Hall
205 Lawrence St NE

If you have ever thought about running for office, or just understanding how decisions get made, this is the place to start.

You do not need experience. You just need to show up.

If you were wondering where I stand on ICE. I stand IN THE WAY of ICE terrorizing our neighbors.
Rainy weekend in Marietta, but it needs to be said. What happened to Renée Nicole Good in Minneapolis was uncalled for and should concern us all. ICE operates everywhere, including metro ATL. This isn’t about national politics. Ask your elected officials what they’re doing to keep our neighbors safe

Happy New Year’s Eve. I hope everyone is warm and surrounded by love. Marietta Bike Social is meeting this Saturday to ride around downtown Marietta.

I’m deeply grateful for the people who keep showing up for one another. Heading into 2026, I’m excited to keep building a more connected Marietta.

“I’m a homeowner. Why should I care that rent is expensive?”

Heard this a lot on the campaign trail. Rent isn’t just about apartments. It affects small businesses too. When commercial rents rise, shops close, jobs disappear, & our economy weakens. We want Marietta to stay strong & work for families

Chilly weather feels amazing when you’re biking 🚲New record this week with 19 riders.

Join Marietta Bike Social every Saturday at 10AM outside Marietta Food Hall. We ride about five miles in one hour at a pace that works for everyone.

This is a family friendly ride and kids love it.

NO HANDOUTS TO BILLIONAIRES!
Join me tonight @ 7 PM to speak up on Franklin Road.

We spent $68M, then leased 33-acres to Arthur Blank for $1. Now Marietta wants to buy back 34-acres for another soccer field.

Residents deserve to have real input on developments!

Did you know cities could limit short-term rentals to owner-occupied homes? Renting out a room in your own house would still be fine, but this would stop investors & corporations from buying whole houses just to Airbnb them. Anything is possible when we demand cities that we can afford to live in.

“I think a lot of people suffer from a lack of imagination in office. When you have an imagination, it attracts voters in a way that will make them come out and vote for you.”

Great interview with Greg Bluestein!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, however you chose to spend it. And no matter the reason you’re out for a walk after a big meal, you should be able to do it safely.

We just need sidewalks in Marietta that don’t suddenly end so everyone is safe. www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/202...
