It was a pleasure highlighting an interesting new study by Liu et al. in Cell Host & Microbe describing how Mtb survives in macrophages by blocking host DNA repair.

A true pleasure to host @maremarebell.bsky.social, an expert in how humans interact with technology (and also my sister), for a workshop on using AI in our research, writing, and professional lives.

Today I got an “accept” email from Cell Host & Microbe (forthcoming preview we wrote 👀, my first time as corresponding author!) and also discovered that half the lab has contamination in nearly all the cell lines they’re currently making. A real mixed bag for the Bell Lab today. 🎭
