After a long and crappy day, I needed to do some sketching in my book. I ended up dusting off one of other original characters who once was optioned to have his own cartoon show. Like many things in show biz, it never happened. Still, I want to do something with this little guy. #sketches

Masters of the Universe + See n Say. After the Mattel Tribute show was over I pitched it to Mattel because they hold both brands, and the collector’s market was hot, at the time. They passed. Some companies just like leaving money on the table.

As much as I’ve loved working with big IP in the past, I really love my original characters: Thadeus, Manchester, Prudence and Ampersand. As a kid who didn’t always fit in, I created this bunch to reflect the group I wish I had in 6th grade when I felt the most alone.

I’ve always kept it pretty PG over on other social media platforms, but I think I want to change things up here. For that reason I have Thadeus riding a cock. A Battlecock, that is.

My latest piece for the Raised by Rainbows: Puppet Pals show at Gallery1988. I was racking my brain on what to do for the show, I had jack shit. Then Buddy Holly came on my Spotify playlist, and I could see Gonzo as Rivers Cuomo in my head. I had to see what that looked like. Here’s the result. 🤓

Welp, here I am. For me, it’s Halloween year-round—it’s cobwebs and spiders up in my dome. I’ll be sharing sketches and more traditional stuff here, because I love the feel of pencil and paper. Enjoy!
