well, getting semi-close to having all the basics in place for the steam store page. It's a ton of work (it turns out). Mad respect for anyone who has gone through this.

Anyway, here's some of the early promotional art for my game Aurum Vitae

improving the UI of my game Aurum Vitae

scrolling text on the detailspanel, cool background effect, little ease in animation, using UI placeholders when the 3D based cards are behind the UI...

Phew! What a week

I mean, it's not exactly inaccurate I guess.

Creating a 40 step progression tree for your alchemy game

and then realizing you have to create 40 icons.

Ok I am not a huge fan of AI for game development, but to visualize my spreadsheet of insanity of combinations in my alchemy game it can be useful for some throwaway visualizations. After a few hours I think I have enough for the first mainline series of transmutations.

Improved my alchemical circle animation.

Next up! Making a whole bunch of starter content and move from there.

In Aurum Vitae, the alchemical circle is formed of 8 elements.
North embodies the human, West the natural, East the elemental, and South the otherworldly.

Only when all are placed T̷Ω̶g̸e̴ṯ̵h̶e̷r̴ does the circle become complete.

"Hey dad, what are you working on today?"

Uhm... nothing. Just testing the card placement in my tabletop simulation game.

These days I am adding more content to my game for playtesting and made a graph/node debug tool that shows all the resources in my game, not sure how much it helps yet but fun to make. Back to dissembling and reassembling corpses (in the game, haha.. ha...)

If I can give one piece of advice to fellow #indiedevs: build debug tools for yourself. They’ll save you hours (and frustration).

for my game Aurum Vitae I just added a debug panel that lets me instantly spawn one of the win conditions, and wow, it makes testing so much easier

Added some visual elements to the cards disintegrating upon use and popping into existence. Looking into card fusion next

I'm experimenting with spell study mechanics in my Godot card game prototype. Cards teach spells as you use them. What UI or feedback would make studying spells feel magical? #Godot #GameDev #IndieGame

Working on a card game where you click and drag cards around to study magic spells. Have a good feeling about this one. The godot resource system made this relatively straightforward to implement and I'm starting to see the appeal of the engine. #Godot #IndieGame

I've made a chrome extension that replaces the term AI with Magic Unicorns, AI Agents with Autonomous Unicorns, and Vibe Coding with Magic Unicorn Caretaking (amongst some other things). I can die happy.

Not only did I make bootleg vampire survivors, I've also made bootleg minecraft! I don't know if I'll ever finish a game, but maybe I'll just go for "most unfinished games"

Another game I never finished, Beyond Pulp, a game where I put entirely too many enemies onto the screen and rewrote most of the Unity components to do so (it's running at 60 FPS but you can't tell in the gif).

Yes, it's bootleg Vampire Survivors

Second game I've made but didn't finish.

A game where the hero barges into your house and steals stuff and you have to plant things to keep him away. The twist being that the hero will get new items over time

Making a video of all the game prototypes I've made over the years but didn't finish (due to work, being a parent, etc). Some cool things in here...

I made an idle game in monogame/C#... using pure vibe coding. I'm somehow both impressed and unimpressed at the same time.
