Sanders: Today, October 18th 2025, there are more people out on the streets in more communities all over our country than we have ever seen in American history

Exactly.
My own opinion is that it's good to signal (through words and/or actions) the virtues that you value; that's one of the most important parts of maintaining a healthy community.

ABC, NBC & CBS dedicated about 16 minutes of airtime last night to the California wildfires without once mentioning climate change.

Since the news failed do it's job, here's a short summary of the role of climate change and wildfire risk:

“Jimmy Carter’s enduring attribute: character, character, character.”

President Biden eulogized Jimmy Carter as a man of character and faith whose life in the White House and for decades beyond was driven by a relentless desire to make the lives of other people better.

The president told attendees at the state funeral, including the other four living presidents, that Mr. Carter’s character allowed him to survive in a world of powerful pressures.

Former President Jimmy Carter was remembered on Thursday as a humanitarian who put service to others above his own ambitions during a state funeral in Washington. His coffin is being flown to Georgia, where he will be buried next to his wife, Rosalynn. nyti.ms/3DL1R8m

I enjoy thrifting for treasure, things to upcycle/craft with, to gift. Clothing for myself (love vintage tops). Today's vintage treasures: Anchor Hocking Fire King bowl ($2); Handpainted plate ($1? $2? Not tagged, dunno what they charged me); Gorgeous vintage Cmas plate ($4).

*Bonus Hubby* This one lived in my head for years with varying details: our heroine had 10 older brothers, rather than the 6 in this iteration. It came down to herding characters more easily. 🤣🤣🤣 Plus, there's a cute dog! Can't ever go wrong with a cute dog.

Poked through the books I have published & picked 3 to promote.

"When Angie Went to Hale" is short. Won't say it's sweet, but it is absolutely & totally ridiculous. An escape from reality.

Looking for more ridiculous ideas to write a romance around...I'm open to suggestions!
