I’ve just done my 100th swim since May 1st. 35 so far this month. 💃 🏊♀️ 💦
My first hour swim at 2.30/100m.The 2.30 makes the maths easier! I swam 2.4km/1.5miles. 2.30 feels as doable as 3 when I started but still not even average. However, as I‘m only competing with past-Sal, I used to do one mile within an hour at VVV. Endless pool forces you to keep a consistent speed.

Christmas 1971. Admiring my present from Andy. I pestered him to tell me what he’d got me the night before when I slept in his room cos Auntie Margaret was in mine. We were talking in the dark and he probably told me to get me to shut up & go to sleep.

I made Lentil & Vegetable Curry with sort-of Naan Bread before my swim. Very nice to come in out of the cold to.

It was just the wheelie bin lid knocking on my bathroom door. Glad I don’t believe in spooky stuff. I’ve been out now and put a big rock on it. It’s read-in-bed time. 30 pages of My Brilliant Friend left to go. I swim a bit later cos the wind will die down a this afternoon.

It was just the wheelie bin lid knocking on my bathroom door. Glad I don’t believe in spooky stuff. I’ve been out now and put a big rock on it. It’s read-in-bed time. 30 pages of My Brilliant Friend left to go. I swim a bit later cos the wind will die down a this afternoon.
I’m scared to look outside. Has my pool blown away? There’s been something knocking at the bathroom window for the past 3 hours. Wheelie bin? Drain pipe? Something from five streets away? 🤷♀️ I’d better go & look.

A really good documentary.
I was worried cos I saw some AI crap on Facebook that implied it was about her divorce & what was in her will.
Of course not.
From childhood to 2026. It was done so well & had lots of new material. It was funny & sad & I felt they ended it well.

Company I worked for in 80s forgot to send my pension lump sum on 19th Dec. Now a reply to my email, took 13 days, saying I’ll get it on 1st Feb.They seem to like holding onto my money. Maybe they recall me walking out of that job in 87. Except everyone in the office was probably born this century.🤣

I’m watching Can You Keep a Secret? The bit where the son found out his Dad wasn’t dead after all & his mum has been lying to him gave me the sitcom embarrassment I’ve suffered from since childhood. Sort of funny too. In a sad, cringey sort of way.😬😆
