A little thread about me for anyone following me;

Been in @thegreenparty.bsky.social for 10 years.

I'm the reason the Greens support a £15 min-wage.

I'm a barista probably the only Unionised barista in Brighton and Hove.

Freelance as a videographer, making campaign videos, propaganda basically.
Honestly I had multiple nervous bathroom visits before making this speech. Thanks to everyone for their support!

CBA with doing this "Progressive Alliance" bollocks for another decade.

I will simply vote Green and campaign for as many years as it takes to get a Green MP. I don't care to try and game the system like a middle class armchair general.
By betraying his voters so comprehensively and so soon, Keir Starmer has done us a favour. He has given us 4 years to design the government we want.
In this week's column I explain how it can be done. There's massive
potential, but we need to start now. 🧵

I'd rather that than Molly's personal brand of absolute mind numbing boredom politics.

Absolutely nothing exciting ever, that's the Scott Cato prospectus.
I don't want our party taken over by disgruntled Labour lefties, do you?

Amazing. No notes.
New Green Party advert just dropped explaining why you should vote for them. And its a cracker!

I thought I might be being uncharitable but the lovely interviewer kept trying to point out that @greenparty.org.uk is terrible at social media and Carla can't respond with much.

They're only now developing a strategy to work as MPs?! Wtf? They've been candidates for almost 3 years!

As I've been saying for years now. The Green Party Exec has fundamentally failed to invest in it's communication infrastructure.

A *single* employee on social media is a shambles. I'm glad I'm not the only one calling this out. @owenjones.bsky.social

Talking inside the Green Party about how we've fundamentally failed to engage properly with social media, how the party's failed to invest, how the leadership make 0 effort to lead, is perhaps the most infuriating pastime I could have chosen.

MRP is a *projection* not a poll.

It's a projection, based on a national poll, and seat based demographic data.

They're only slightly more accurate than a blindfolded asthmatic 3 pints down trying to hit a dart board from 3 meters away.

Making "Growth" your number 1 mission in Government, and then invest £0 to make it happen, and then being surprised when it doesn't happen is objectively hilarious.

Greens, I've been saying this *for years* now.

Keir Starmer is as bad as Boris Johnson.

Just as bad.

Don't read the article. It's lazy.

Want to know the reason, watch these 4 clips below, compare and contrast.

It's not co-leaders or tired fruit based political metaphors. It's electing passionate, competent communicators.

Simply put, the Green Party spent 2015-2020 obsessed with electoral pacts and alliances, and we didn't actually get anywhere.

In 2024, when we weren't obsessed with standing down, we quadrupled our MPs!

I don't think going back to standing down again is a positive step. End of.

Good reasons to join the @greenparty.org.uk;

Propagate socialism,
Have a good time,
Stave off depression,
Stop climate change.

Bad reasons to join the Green Party and tbh we'd rather you didn't;

Pursue Labour party factional beef and constantly talk about Jeremy sodding Corbyn.
December 14, 2024 at 12:17 PM
I just find it bitterly funny that in all the "what will be Labour's challenge to the left" articles, the obvious answer isn't the Green Party, but a party that doesn't exist.

This should be a wake up call to leftwing Greens, the party needs serious reform if it's going to compete in 2029.
