Check out Augur issue 8.2 for my short story, "The Event Horizon of Honey," a surrealist horror tale exploring memory loss, grief, love, and the eldritch entities that stalk the woods beyond the beehives: augursociety.org/augur-issue-...
Augur Issue 8.2 Augur Magazine Issue 8.2 - Augur Literary Society
Augur Magazine Issue 8.2 asks you to exist in the in-between, in the cycles where yes, all things grow and die–but all things also live, vibrantly, exquisitely, and unapologetically–in revolutions whe...

The dreaded “poor etiquette” in the theatre tonight:

✅ Talking with their partner throughout the film
✅ Both on their phones
✅ Man flicks his Coors Light can from his side table, it clatters to the ground & onto the path of the theatre steps. Doesn’t pick it up even after the film was over.

Despite the goofy gif, being called “my beloved” feels like I’m in a 1000 yr old vampiric pairing.

I’m doubling down on my initial reaction to OBAA.
It reeks like the wet fart of Oscar grabs.

Dicaprio plays a “revolutionary”, while co-financing a 14 story luxury hotel in Israel.
Using roles as a PR shield for various dealings makes me sick. What’s worse is that people eat this shit up.

Heart Eyes (2025) has one of the best villain designs that I’ve seen in recent years.
Something that I think we’ve been missing from the slasher genre as of late—the creation of another masked slasher icon.

Obviously with how many times I’ve watched (7+) it quickly became a comfort film for me.

I actually had many favourite first-watches this month, so I can’t narrow it down to the classic four.

Sentimental Value (2025)
It Ends (2025)
In the Mood for Love (2000)
Paying for It (2024)
After Hours (1985)
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964)
Belle de Jour (1967)

This year, @salemskeeper.bsky.social and I made a concerted effort to watch more films we’ve never seen—international, independent, classics, etc. Here are all of this year’s additions to my list of perfect movies. Full list here: boxd.it/OPBi0

HBD to the queen of Italian gothic horror, Barbara Steele, an absolutely mesmerising talent on screen with over 65 credits. Appearing in many favourites such as Black Sunday (1960), The Pitt and the Pendulum (1961), Castle of Blood (1964), and The Long Hair of Death (1964). 🖤

If we didn’t have Mulholland Drive, we wouldn’t have Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus.

Just two girlies landing in L.A with a dream and a cardigan.

I love the way @realgdt.bsky.social speaks about film.
It always feels deeply emotional.
In Q&A’s, his perspective on casting & set design—and his personal connection to the source material or story—is remarkably insightful & inspiring.
He conveys this in a way that is incredibly poetic.
