I was 10 when he was elected President.That is when I began to understand politics. He was a kind, honest, human.I remember waiting in the gas lines with my Dad on the "even" days. President Carter did not lie or sugarcoat why this was happening. In America being kind & honest are a deficit. RIP

What is the difference between a death by denial of life saving care & two gunshots? The former is silent & invisible, the latter is public. The public death was visible, shocking, & the victim was valued in society.
The person who died most likely suffered before death witnessed by loved ones.
