As we honor Dr. King and those who sacrificed for a more equal America, we remember what he taught us: to remain silent in the face of injustice is to be complicit.

In times like these, it is our duty to use our voices and privilege to speak up for those under attack.

Choose love, not silence.

STLPR is right; the Prop NS program hasn't been effective enough.

Board Bill 125, sponsored by Ald. Aldridge and myself, gives the LRA more financial flexibility to rehab vacant, City-owned properties and put them up for sale.

Read the full legislation: www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/c...
A St. Louis program meant to stabilize and sell vacant homes could get a boost under new legislation that would raise spending caps per property.

City leaders say outdated limits have slowed progress, with only 12 homes fully rehabbed in five years. www.stlpr.org/government-p...
Struggling St. Louis program that fixes and sells vacant homes in north city may get a boost
A voter-approved program that seeks to rehab and sell abandoned homes in north St. Louis neighborhoods has struggled to find success. A new bill will allow the taxpayer-funded program to spend more.

In light of Governor Kehoe’s push to eliminate Missouri’s state income tax, let's take a look at what that would mean for our state.

First, Missouri ranks 46th in state tax revenue per capita. It also ranks 33rd in education, 37th in infrastructure, and 43rd in healthcare. See a pattern?

RECAP: In his 2026 State of the State address, Gov. Mike Kehoe said he wants voters to authorize a plan that would phase out the state income tax and allow for taxes on things like monthly subscriptions and digital services.

This is what a country sliding into autocracy looks like.

My heart breaks for the friends and family of Renee Good and all those affected by this violence; both the immigrants who are being unjustly detained and the citizens caught in the crossfire.

Abolish ICE.

In 1989, Terry Kennedy was elected Alderman of the 18th Ward and began a career in public service that spanned nearly 40 years.

Anchored by his deep roots as a civil rights advocate, Ald. Kennedy fought to establish policies that created the MWBE program and Civilian Oversight Board.

Like so many household expenses, utilities have been steadily rising for years, and residents are struggling to keep up. With the federal government cutting back on programs to help low income residents with their utility bills, it’s up to us locally to narrow the affordability gap.
