Spent last night onboard. This morning there was thick fog around the boat, but just enough warmth in the air to have a mug of tea on deck before dressing and getting down to work.

With the modern Halloween out of the way (a far cry of what it was where I was brought up a long time ago), just Bonfire Night (it has started all ready with the odd firework being set off) before the shops get into full swing for Yuletide.

Back from 24 hours on the boat. The thermostat has been replaced, the engine tested and still works. The temperature is dropping and the forecast weather did not arrive. 😁

It having been the first weekend that felt that summer is well and truly over at my latitude I spent some time thinking about summer 2026 and the adventures that might bring.
I am tempted to sail north to the Faroe Isles, but the idea of long summers days in sunshine is very tempting.
