I think this is the perfect time to start posting about Greenland and the amazing textile Herjolfsnes finds, aye? Greenland is a district of Denmark and was settled by several distinct Inuit cultures in waves from c.2500 BCE to c.1200 CE, plus the Norse settlement late 10th-15th centuries. 🧵1/

I managed to squeeze in a bit of sewing to my day schedule that is quite full. My goal is to do crafts at least 30 minutes daily (not counting knitting that can be done during coffee breaks 😃). This is the Herjolfsnes 63 (based on 14th century findings from Greenland) I am making

Today was all about working with a Finnish Iron Age dress. I am trying to rescue Perniö dress which someone else has started years ago. Mervi was teaching patiently.

I have posted less and less in Fb during past years. I went to Threads but I didn’t like it much. I already like this so let’s see!
