Obviously Apple didn’t know Trump was gonna declare war on Los Angeles, but there is something pretty distasteful about Apple launching all new shiny things while just down the coast a city burns to the ground.

Like, are we really gonna do this guys?

Naming your startup? Just remove the vowels and manifest a domain name. Sorted. 💸

3/4 apps in my dock are music-related; I’m gonna be a hopeless music fanboy to the end.

1. SoundCloud for deep digs
2. Apple Music for classics
3. And the green one? That’s Scratch—my little passion project for dancefloor lovers 🕺 (in beta, link in bio)

The web as a series of machine-readable databases has played on my mind since @reckless.bsky.social interviewed Sundar Pichai.

AI wont write the code, there just won’t be any code. No websites. Nothing for humans to see.

What a waste of the miracle that is the web. We’re entering our Matrix era.

Apparently AI should have an “I Quit” button so if it doesn’t want to perform a task, it can bounce.

Not only did AI get the best education in the world by stealing the entirety of human endeavour, it now gets better workers rights than any human on the planet too.

We’re Thinking About Deploying AI Models Which Have An "I Quit" Button: Anthropic CEO
Thus far, AI models have been trained to carry out most tasks that are asked of them, but Silicon Valley is now considering letting them choose the tasks they want to do. This intriguing concept wa...

Two of the biggest companies on Earth both sell Macs.

Admit it, these are the stellar insights that should be filling up the world’s data centres, right? 🤣

I said I wouldn’t write again about Trump and tech, but given the mugging at the Oval Office, I felt compelled.

The Fourth Reich: a combo of Big Tech and the Trump administration is on the march. This time with JavaScript rather than jackboots.

Have a read 🙏🏼

Day 5 of staring at the ceiling and watching Get A Life TV™.

I missed my winter jabs and here I am. That’ll teach me.

Tried to take a shower yesterday and keeled over in the corridor. All I could think was: “Please don’t let me die wearing shapeless joggers and a 3 day old T-shirt.”

I’m not well. Fever. Aches. All that jazz. So I’ve resorted to asking AI absurd questions because there’s naff all else to do at 2 in the morning. Pretty certain it’s about to request overtime, citing ‘batshit existential queries from sickly human’. Developing.

Marina Hyde captures my sentiments on Sam Altman’s DeepSeek tantrum perfectly.

She really is one of the UK’s finest journalists. Just sublime.

I'm obsessed with paradoxes.

First, "paradox" is a cool word. Second, they're fun to think about.

The classic example is the Liar Paradox: "This sentence is false."

It creates an infinite loop of contradiction. If it’s true it's false and if it’s false it’s true.

Morning!

Oops! Missed the DeepSeek drama while enduring Section 31 last night with a friend. Turns out watching AI stocks plummet would've been more way more entertaining than that space-tacular flop.

As a gay designer and developer, watching Tim Cook donate $1M and applaud Trump's inauguration this week was a betrayal that cuts deep. His coming out changed tech. Now, he trades our rights for power.

In his ruthless pursuit of power and profit, Tim Cook has made it abundantly clear this week: the human rights of LGBTQ+ people are negotiable, and our community is expendable.

Never did I think when I woke up this morning that my fave singer, Jessie Ware, would be interviewing Tim Cook on her food podcast, Table Manners, but here we are.

Woke up this morning and without thinking put my Apple Watch on the opposite wrist. Worn it on my left forever, now I decide to change it up.

Obviously I’m an entirely new person now. Might start putting motivational phrases on the walls and doing yoga.

It’s a whole new world, people…

I’m up for that

Slim chance
Fat chance

I couldn’t care less

English is bloody weird.

Last night I thought I’d give Mr Robot another go. Another season came out since I watched it last. The opening monologue hits hard:

ELLIOT (V.O.): “There’s a powerful group of people out there who are secretly running the world.

“I’m talking about the guys that no one knows about…
