Despite the benefits of agroforestry, cocoa landscapes in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire remain dominated by full-sun and low-shade systems.

Average shade-tree cover is just 13%, far below the 20–40% recommended for climate resilience.

The fantasy of feeding the world persists because it's convenient to the status quo. It weaponizes #globalhunger to silence the voices of agrarian change. It has been a powerful ideological tool in capitalists’ efforts to maintain and extend control over nature and subaltern humans. #agroecology
The Orwellian myth at the heart of industrial agriculture?

That environmental destruction is actually conservation.

This must-read essay traces how productivism – the obsession with yield – fuels ecocide & colonialism, while failing to 'feed the world'.

ICE recently conducted a raid of farm workers, seemingly focused on pro-union worker leaders.

On Friday in New York the federal agents stopped a bus and, armed with a list, appeared to single out those who have been doing union organizing for years.
