Diwali, the Festival of Lights, signifies light over darkness. It’s a time to come together as a community to share joy, reflect on our values, and look forward to a brighter future. I was honored to be included yesterday in Sen. Srinivasan’s first annual Diwali celebration!

I talked today with a documentarian about my experiences advocating for pregnant women who are incarcerated. Laws must matter, crime must have consequence, but we can take the side of mercy and grace for pregnant women and their soon to be born children. We can do better.

Great time watching the Governors Debate with the Del. Reaser, Supervisor Briskman, April Chandler and the Loudoun Dems last week. It was a clear distinction in candidates. One was mature and professional, the other was unserious and desperate to get a clip to show out of context.
