Lauren Hill, Ex-Factor on the radio. What an album The Miseducation of... was?
Must give it another play.

Awaiting an Ikea delivery.
The flatpack anxiety is real!
Did I order the right amount of feet & soft close hinges?
We'll soon find out...🚚

Re-Starmer's current Labour, I keep coming back to that great Nye Bevan quote, We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over!
What on Earth does this guy stand for?

Goodness knows where we are with politics in the UK, but we've woken up with a huge sigh of relief in our house in Kent, over a by election result in Caerphilly.
2025 - What a carry on.

As frustrating as this is from Man City, as an Arsenal fan, this was a textbook George Graham performance back in the day. Why should City attack? It's up to Arsenal to break them down

Does anyone remember the mantra, "Live and let live"?

Maidstone East platform 1 with a good smattering of Oasis fans. We're coming into Wembley from all angles here.
🍻🎤🕺

Oasis tomorrow. Wembley stadium.
I keep telling myself it's not about me & what I wear, especially now it's going to rain. Compromise.
But, come on. It is a bit.
A leather jacket should be fine in a downpour, no?

Loving the new Alan Partridge, From the oasthouse series.
Made a four and a half hour drive back from Doncaster almost bearable.

So, today's the day the Gallagher brothers perform on stage again. All eyes on Cardiff.
I'm due to see them at Wembley next Month. Whether they'll be better for the gigs under their belts or postponing shows due to "Fatigue" etc by then, who knows.
The rollercoaster sets off again.

A Sat night kneeling down putting flat pack furniture together with Glastonbury on, unsure of whether I'll be able to stand up again after building this drawer...
To think, some people are out there having fun!

Ah, Pulp! Nice one.
June 28, 2025 at 5:32 PM
Yer man from the 1975 seems very nervous. I guess you don't know if a headline Glastonbury set is doable until you're standing up there.
Getting on with the songs is his best bet here. Less chat & looking for cameras inbetween. It's tough to watch.

Hanging on to fb by a thread now tbh. If it wasn't for record/clothes sales & promotion.
It's completely overrun my middle-aged bores. This weeks source of anger(besides immigration) - A music festival where people get together & have a good time.
Reminded me of Ricky Gervais' guitar lessons joke.

Imagine heading to Glastonbury this weekend with the weather as good as this.
For one, I've some strong FOMO. Apart from the camping, of course
June 26, 2025 at 1:31 PM
Why now do many people watching bands base the whole success of a gig on the band/artist playing one particular song from their back catalogue?
Especially at festivals. Me, me, me.
It's a fairly new crowd. Last 10-15 years.
What were they doing before? And can they go back to that thing ✌️

Looks like I picked the wrong season to quit drinking

Bayern Munich overpowering Bishop's Stortford in the new Fifa World Cup clubs, cup. Of Clubs.
June 15, 2025 at 5:47 PM
I find it funny how sports media effortlessly combine the European Cup years with the Champions league as being the same competition.
Not so much Premier league with the old first division though. Barely at all even.

Fantastic weekend in Margate.
Minimal sleep, maximum socialising.
Great live bands, top DJs suncream, fish & chips & the odd drink. I'd forgotten how tiring these full on weekenders are.
Feel like I could sleep for 3 days to compensate.
