In Maryland alone, 1 in 10 people rely on SNAP to put food on the table. Cutting off benefits doesn’t just hurt families — it hurts local economies.

USDA must use the SNAP contingency fund to keep food assistance programs funded during the government shutdown, as is required by law and has been done in every other government shutdown in modern history.
