Dem leaders keep saying, “we have no leverage.” But CRs require 60 votes in the Senate. Rs have 53. We HAD leverage. Did we use it to stop Elon’s overreach? Protect Social Security? Stop federal firings? No. CR passed with major cuts. No concessions. Nothing.
