One of the things I really like about Distant Horizons is that you get a much better idea of your impact on your world -- both how big it is, and how so much bigger the rest of the world is. This image includes at least hints of most of my overworld efforts.

I am confuzzled by Minecraft singleplayer on my Linux machine. Saving chunks seems to take absurd amounts of time, making dimensional hops or even saving and exiting a surprisingly long wait. Like, 5+ actual real stopwatch minutes, not merely exaggerating. Whereas the server box I've used seems to go fine. Older hardware, even. It is using a small USB stick to save to, whereas I'm still on platter drives for normal use. I never had issues like this on the Windows machine. And I don't seem to have any massive lag spikes with disk i/o in any other game. In a rational world, I'd be able to get an SSD for a reasonable price, but we don't live there. The Fabulously Optimized pack seemed to fix it last game version, but now doesn't. Linux Mint Debian Edition, flatpak Prism Launcher, if that matters at all. I don't think I have the spoons to try and drill this down any further, but if anyone has ideas I'd love to hear them. #linux #minecraft

Right now it doesn't lose any nuggets, ingots, or heads, and I'm wondering if the swords dropped represent enough gold to be worth the hassle of processing.
