No nosso sistema constitucional, a diferença entre uma moção de censura e uma moção de confiança é que a primeira para ser aprovada (melhor dizendo, para levar à demissão do governo) precisa de ser aprovada por maioria absoluta. A de confiança é aprovada por maioria simples.
