Happy birthday to my late Uncle Rudy, who turned 21 on this day 80 years ago. Old enough to vote. He'd already been a soldier for nearly two years and was fighting in the brutal Operation Northwind, "the other Battle of the Bulge." He survived; many didn't. Never surrender to fascism. #OnThisDate
