Part of this is because when Studio Ghibli complained about too many names on the Mononoke poster (meaning the profusion of Miramax execs) the single name that was removed was mine.
I was today years old, when I found out that the venerable Neil Gaiman adapted the screenplay for one of my favourite Miyazaki films. I've read Neil for longer than I'd like to mention, and watched Princess Mononoke on its 1st release. I'm still a little shook up, in a good way though.
My favourite is still Princess Mononoke, for obvious reasons.
