Turning to Carl Jung for insight into today’s political psychology. His 1936 analysis of Hitler’s rise feels eerily relevant now. Hard not to see disturbing echoes in Trump’s appeal—and the psyche of the MAGA movement.

Nice symbolism, right?

This is a scene we spotted today in west Texas, while driving on back roads. The U.S. may be falling apart, but this juxtaposition gave me a moment of happiness and hope. (In case you don't know, that's a spanking new windmill towering over an inoperative oil well.)

I guess MAGA is now just "MAG" = Make America into Gaza.

Trump fantasizes turning Gaza into the "Riviera of the Middle East." Meanwhile, he and Elon are doing to the U.S. Constitution what Netanyahu has done to Gaza: razing it to the ground.

(I spent a couple of hours working up this image).

How long do you think it will be before we'll see Mexico's president announce that she has duped Trump into building a border wall that will prevent hordes of desperate Americans from seeking asylum in Mexico?

Why did Trump pardon or commute the sentences of even the most violent Jan. 6th insurrectionists as well as their leaders? Most likely because he wants them showing up heavily armed at resistance events to intimidate anti-Trump protesters and, as much as possible, to shut down public opposition.
