I wish to actually practice the basic, fundamental things about art, but I've got such weird mental blockade about it

a little update!
I'm visiting my family this week. It's quite a long distance to travel and I can't bring my tablet & internet access will be limited too

Best ideas pop always when doing something mundane, repetitive. Our brain has time to process art and stories we pumped into it before, then connect it into something we plan on doing or we are thinking about
That's how the story breakthroughs for my OCs always "flashed" me in the middle of the day
That's how the story breakthroughs for my OCs always "flashed" me in the middle of the day
people might think creating OC lore involves a lot of thinking & planning, but in my personal experience, OC development is more like a divine vision from a god slamming you over the head with a mallet while ur doing the fuckin dishes or folding laundry
