Haven’t done any Calgary Stampede events this year but sleeping in a little tent just off the Cowboy Trail feels more stampedey than a corn dog, even if it’s out of the back of a 4Runner rather than off of the back of a horse (which my wife probably would have preferred).

Yesterday I discovered that an orchid that hasn’t flowered for years was secretly growing buds under the thick leaves of the plant beside it - and we didn’t realize it until the flowers were fully formed: Life metaphors abound!

Didn’t like plug-in lcd frames, looked into e-ink and only found a really expensive EU gallery company - so I made these.

We’ve officially entered grow light season for Stacey. Hopefully there’ll be pumpkins, corn, tomatoes and some other stuff thriving once it’s warm enough for these to move outside.
