How tone deaf! Masked ICE agents, some with rifles, turning up at the Japanese American History Museum in L.A., where the CA governor was announcing a plan to counter the redistricting of Texas to favor Trump. Local head of ICE claims he didn't know the governor was there. So? Blatant intimidation.

Charlottesville, January 6, pardoning the J6 "hostages," murders/assassinations in Minnesota, attempting to blame Democrats for all the above. It's a straight line under the Trump administration. Hey, hey. Ho, ho. Donald Trump has got to go.

Momma always said, "Nothing good happens after midnight." The GOP congress just proved that, passing their ugly as hell bill in the middle of the night. "One if by land, two if by sea" was the middle-of-the-night warning for the revolutionaries in 1776. We need to heed the advice.

There isn't enough jail space for everyone who thinks about Trump dying in office by whatever means necessary. Read social media. "I no longer care how he leaves office." That's about as opaque as "86 47." Or "I wake up every morning hoping that I will hear that he has died," say millions. Just fact

FIRST thing I see this morning is the headline: "Trump says he could free wrongly deported man, but won't"-NYTimes.

Arrogant, insulated, and disrespectful of the laws he has sworn to uphold.

Congress, IMPEACH HIM NOW!! He has openly stated that he will not uphold the laws. He has broken his oath.

More linguistic gymnastics. The parents are being deported, but the U.S.-born children are not being deported. Technically. Maybe because separating them the last time around didn't go so well?

Gee, doesn't Trump own a black suit suitable for a papal funeral? Why didn't Melania tell him to change his clothes? Even at the Pope's funeral, it's all about being seen. Arrogant asshat.

Attacking law firms that represented Democrats. Pulling medical research funding for Harvard, a "bastion of liberalism." Going after Act Blue. 86ing Head Start. Arresting judges. These are examples of how you use your presidential power illegally to impose yourself as a dictator. Any questions?

He backed down on foreign student visas. He was reacting to the opposition of We, the People. What should we push on next? Firing/impeaching judges? Raping the government of its employees? What?

FBI Director Patel has a judge arrested, saying, "No one is above the law." Then they appear to illegally deport a 2-year-old U.S. citizen. They should remember that "No one is above the law," as they put Patel and others in handcuffs and march them off to jail. What's good for the goose...

So, now he's going after Act Blue. Trump and the GOPMAGAs need to remember that the door swings both ways. When the Dems regain power, I would have no qualms about seeking revenge on GOP people, media outlets, or other "institutions." What goes around, comes around, as they say.

House Republicans passed the No Rogue Rulings Act, which would bar federal district judges from issuing nationwide injunctions. That's good. Now, they can't judge-shop for a conservative Texas judge in a single-judge federal district court to ban Mifepristone nationwide. Good for the goose...

NYTimes: Breaking news: Astronomers detect a possible signature of life on a distant planet.

Send Elon to investigate. It's only 120 light-years away.

So, if you get swept up in an ICE dragnet (which is ill-designed and not at all selective) and you get sent to El Salvador, there will be no return. To cover their ass, DOJ will claim that you are a criminal or gang member. To the "faithful," that will be enough "evidence" to satisfy them.
April 14, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Let's apply some "reciprocal" logic. Abortion opponents used to argue, "What if that fetus would have been another Beethoven or discovered a cure for cancer?" Well, "What if one of those foreign students who had their student visa canceled would have discovered a cure for cancer here in the US?"
April 14, 2025 at 3:10 PM
If we could propose that Trump is a "suspected terrorist" with no evidence (other than the destruction of the American democracy), could we ship him to El Salvador?
April 12, 2025 at 3:34 AM
Administration defies a judicial order for information on the return of a falsely deported man. The judge needs to send the US Marshalls to the White House to arrest Trump for defying a Court order. No one is above the Law. Put his ass in jail. In El Salvador.

Funny how Musk claims that the April 5 demonstrations were "paid for" like that's a bad thing. Those thousands of signs were made by thousands of people on their own dime. In a Trump campaign rally, we saw thousands of mass-printed signs likely paid for by some of the $250M that Musk gave Trump.

Do we have a number to calculate the crowds on Saturday? I don't think the media has been adding it up themselves. Or at least not publishing it. Perhaps putting it in print may cause Trump to sue them? Fear? It was certainly a larger crowd than for his 2nd inauguration. Our crowd exceeded 2017's.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia:
What lack of clarity does Justice Roberts see that the rest of the country doesn't? It seems clear-cut. Garcia had court protection yet was arrested and deported. Is Roberts saying that court orders don't mean anything? Garcia flees gangs but he now has the DOJ/ICE gang?

Acting commissioner of the SSA Leland Dudek- “we are updating our policy to provide better customer service to the country’s most vulnerable populations.” How does firing thousands of SSA employees, closing phone service, and moving to internet communications help accomplish this goal?

Diversity. Equity. Inclusion. Isn't that what Brown v. Board was about in 1954? If we integrate our schools, we will diversify society. "All men are created equal." Right? If we heard the unknown stories of minorities, our understanding of them would increase. Right? The 442nd. Tuskegee Airmen. 1954

Dr. Heather Cox Richardson's entry for Thursday is required reading. This isn't one man going crazy. It's a planned, concerted effort to destroy our democracy. And 49.9% of the people fell for it. He promised cheaper eggs; we get our government destroyed. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
