It’s overwhelming, this vile, cruel, undeniably evil regime running the country. I stood and watched this beautiful encounter between these fawns and for a second found my footing again. I’ll take the moments offered up by nature, they are magic. Now to find a magical wand…#nature

For a few short months rufous hummers take their place in our area. Their place seems to be everywhere, however. They display a fierce, aggressive demeanor, making nice with no one. Kindness matters, they just haven’t learned it.

They are swift, silent fliers, blending with tree trunks imperceptibly. We watched him jet through the forest in pursuit of a squirrel, becoming a 15 minute nature drama. Crows intervened and inevitably saved said squirrel. What a morning, what a show.

Crossbills fascinate me. The way their bill (beak) crosses over, how does it even work? But it does, and they survive and thrive. Democrats got our messaging wrong, crossed up, yesterday it was clear. We may look incapable but when knocked down, we get up stronger. Let’s go!

When all else fails to ease an uneasy mind, a walk in the yard surely helps. Nature has a way of reminding us that so much we don’t see, still happens. The cold rains keeping me inside are working miracles underground. My hope is much the same for #democratic officials. Please, work your magic.
