troubling to see fossil gas investing as energy providers. We don't want to lock in high emissions iron production, we should be building green iron DRI + on-site green hydrogen and proximity to new renewables. Like what's happening in the Whyalla region with the Hydrogen Power SA initiative.

We need to be building things to the right scale to replace our iron ore exports with value-added green iron, We'd need 21,000 Neosmelt plants if we kept building them at that scale, compared to 52 the size of POSCO's.

Good to see investment in iron-making in Aus. The Neosmelt ESF pilot plant in Kwinana will produce around .03-.04 Mt PA.
However, it would be better to see support for POSCO's Green Iron Port Hedland ASAP, which is proposed at 12 million tonnes PA. That's 400x larger!

Reading through Victoria’s Renewable Gas Consultation Paper, it's good to see more use of the term 'fossil gas' instead of natural gas.
