Tomorrow (Friday), Minnesota is holding a general strike, ”ICE out of Minnesota.” Over 300 local businesses have confirmed they’ll be closed. Others will be donating 100% of proceeds to immigration charities. Some of the unions are encouraging a no-work, no-shopping, no-school strike.

"Raúl" was picking oranges in Visalia CA. "We fill 5 bins in a 6 hours and get paid $24 per bin. This work is hard on our bodies as we need to go up and down a 16 foot ladder while carrying 60 -80 lbs of oranges. But it's year round work that feeds our families." #WeFeedYou

Our mantel doesn’t work for stockings, so we hang them on the window ledge in our stair landing. Notice that our stockings don’t match. I like a little chaos in my Christmas decor. The stocking on the left is one my husband has had since he was a kid. I’m pretty sure someone made it for him.

So glad Al allows scammers to be even more devious. If this is what author life is these days, I figure I might as well get something out of it.

11 year old and I made these chocolate chip cookies from this Stardew Valley cookbook. Ours did not turn out as aesthetically-shaped as the ones pictured in the book, but they sure tasted good.

I am now someone who wears glasses. At least when I’m working at the computer or otherwise “up close.” These are supposed to relieve eye strain and reduce neck tension and migraines. Here’s hoping it works!

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
