Photo of a very foggy pedestrian street in an old part of town. The buildings are a mix of old-but-plain and something very elaborate with pillars and spires in the background. The street is all cobblestone and the buildings are all in shades ranging from beige through rust to brown stone. The closest building is fairly plain and has ‘Hotel’ written on its corner in unassuming lettering, not to betray its history going back to the 1200s. Right below the signage sits a weathered and much younger milestone from 1676 in the name of some king, announcing the distance to an undisclosed but probably important location as ‘1 myl’. This is apparently now the central measuring point in Malmö. No one ever said the Swedes knew how to spell.
