Set up a fantasy.premierleague.com league with my neurodiverse grandsons for something to talk about. They don't really get how the game is scored - one put three Palace defenders in and the other three Spurs defenders. Not sure of the long term viability of that but looks like genius move for wk 1

Had two simple questions to ask two different pension companies this week - total time on hold 135 minutes. But apparently my calls were important to them just not important enough to employ enough staff.

Both grandson's have an inset day today so they're staying at ours. Their mother said they were very excited and I know that's because I let them lie in bed all day and eat crisps, something she would frown upon. Both are still in their pyjamas at 4pm 😀

One of my oldest friends recently qualified as a nurse.She was moaning about working on Christmas Eve and Boxing day. I don't have much sympathy (my mother was a nurse) and wondered why it never occurred to her in 3 years of study that hospitals are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year?

Even though I have to work tomorrow and Tuesday and we have no tree or decorations up, it's certainly beginning to feel like Christmas. Five guests for Christmas dinner including two grandchildren and our two oldest friends.

I moved to South wales last year from London. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Lovely place, lovely people, much better quality of life.

My football team are playing tonight, Due to the kick off time, I shall be asleep when the 2nd half kicks off. It wasn't always like this, I used to go to evening matches in far flung cities, arriving home in the early hours. Age has a lot to answer for.
