White Lotus season 3 pleased me and seeing others get antsy and whiny about it only pleases more. True misanthrope, I guess?

A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.

Marsha P. Johnson

The “P” stood for “Pay It No Mind,” a phrase that became her motto. Johnson described herself as a gay person, a transvestite, and a drag queen and used she/her pronouns; the term “transgender” only became commonly used after her death.

Do you like scented candles? I seem to be building up a cupboard of them (a go to gift, it seems).

And if you do, why? And do you turn off the lights when you use them?

It’s such a disgrace what United Soft Media (USM) have done to the online #catan app. I recently tried again (it’s been broken or flakey since 2021).

It’s still bad.

Couldn’t the owners of Catan relicense it to some one who rebuild it so it works?

Such a shame, no?

Seeing posts like this reminds me why the #left is losing and will continue to lose.

We miss the beat. I’m from the left and it’s depressing how bad we are at:
A) showing charity
B) uniting
C) bringing people into the fold

A pissing contest and clumsy purity contest.

This is a Marmokreb. It’s parthenogenetic — it can clone itself. No partner required for fertilisation. Discovered in the pet trade in Germany in 1995, it upended a lot of the assumptions of geneticists and the nature v nurture debate. Feared, studied and prohibited.

Kinda cool.

Apophenia: seeing patterns where they might not exist. Such as cloud shapes.

The more complex the data, the more likely you’ll find a fake pattern. A cluster is sometimes just chance.
