The foundational epic that chronicles exile, survival, and the claiming of Romulus. Taught to every child and treated as near-scripture. A cultural spine from which all Romulan art draws its strength. 🧵

Part Two 🧵

Romulans are not written as a rival civilization — they are written as a problem to be removed.

Why are the Star Wars fan boys suddenly having shit pissing cries over Trekkies having ANY opinions on it?
Why am I seeing WHOLE ASS MEN crying and whining over Trekkies.

Girl, touch some grass.

Do not confuse repression with accountability. And do not weaponize mental health to cover a lack of nuance. Romulans rejected enforced emotional suppression — not responsibility. If cruelty is the price of your simplicity, you’ve already paid too much.

It's going to reach 31-33 onkians today on Romulus.
(Almost 100 degrees)
Time for this 😌

The amount of AI slop I see people use in the Trek community is laughable.
This place has so many great artists ( @cigaradd.bsky.social for one!) And instead of helping someone put food on the table with commissions or exposure, you'd rather sit on your lazy ass and have a machine steal art for you

Memory Alpha, release me into your archives. I am begging you to stop calling half the Romulans on there “Unnamed.”
There are script, canon and lore.

Pylanazi is the Romulan rite by which a person is recognized as a citizen in full. Traditionally undertaken in early adulthood, it is a public affirmation of allegiance to the Star Empire and an acknowledgment that one’s actions now carry civic weight.

I have the first section of language lessons up! It's parts 1-3 as of now (covering sounds and stress). I will have the full section for lesson one posted in a few hours.

I'm starting the work on the linguistics side of the Archives tonight!
It's going to be a long process and journey, but I hope my readers can learn, practice and if anything, enjoy learning something new!

A canon-grounded analysis of how Star Trek repeatedly treats Romulans as narratively disposable across timelines—revealing a long-standing reluctance to sustain them as a credible, sovereign political power. 🧵

Having to basically essay Romulans as collapsible, enslavable, and narratively disposable in Trek certainly wasn't on my card today but here we are lmao

It’s striking how Star Trek: The Next Generation rarely examines why the Neutral Zone exists or why the Treaty of Algeron was necessary. Doing so would require acknowledging that Federation–Romulan relations were shaped by conflict, coercion, and Federation wrongdoing — not just moral restraint.

Nnea t’ehlla.
I was asked about why my comments are set up how they are (mutuals only)
This is quite frankly to keep my own peace. There is someone in my life with no self-control and has a habit of making fake profiles, starting fights and stalking people.
I protect my peace and sanity.

I’ve been studying Romulan culture for over fifteen years. Not episodically, not as a surface interest, but as a sustained body of research — language, ethics, civilian life, labor, foodways, and the structures that support daily stability---
