In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.
Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.
While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn.
That's how privatisation 'works'.

The lesson was the same in 2011 as in 1926: that if the unions work together with a unified aim, they can win. They lose when they allow the government to divide them. Add 1984-85 into this as well.

Last year private firms made £45 billion profit from the UK domestic energy system. If that money had been kept in public hands, it could have been used to save each household £1,800 on their energy bills. (Info from Unite Community 2024 Conference). Privatisation doesn't work for us or at all.
