Been thinking a lot lately about a particular beautifully written Rian Johnson line of dialogue from The Last Jedi and that is “Hope is like the sun. If you only believe in it when you can see it, you’ll never make it through the night.” and I think I'm going to continue to hold onto it for a while.
Was it all bad? No, but a lot of it was, and I just want it to be over. I’m choosing to hold onto hope for 2026 and all the amazing opportunities and possibilities it may bring to keep myself sane.

Usually at this time of the year, I’m having a crisis about the passage of time and getting older, but not this year. This year, I’m genuinely excited for the year to end and for a new one to begin. Let's get this show on the road. I want this horrendous year to be behind me.

This was one of the duplicates I pulled on Christmas. I’m going to bedazzle the swirl cookie on the side and maybe the chocolate chips? This isn’t going to be a full one because of how intricate it is, but it’ll have accents I guess?

Forgot how awful Stranger Things fans are on the other site. Seeing some of the worst takes imaginable about one of your favorite characters who died the dumbest death over a Steve Harrington line said in the big year of 2025 is crazy. This show is not good enough for people to act the way they do.

I knew going into it that it wasn't the right fit, but I thought it couldn't hurt to hear more about it. I was barely on the phone for two minutes before I honestly said to the person that this doesn't sound like what I'm looking for after they told me the hours. 😭
I have a call for a job on Monday.

This week another one of my favorites, who when she started coming to us would hide under the table in the lobby the second she came in, ran straight to me yesterday, and immediately rolled over for tummy rubs and I was so proud of her. She’s come so far. 😭❤️
When dogs come into the salon, I’m quick to get on the floor to greet them and there’s one dog who eats it up every single time. Tummy rubs for days with her. Her family gave me a card today that said “Thank you for being the best part of her grooming appointments.” And that means so much to me.

I think my tip money and any I may receive for Christmas will be split between a 2026 convention fund and a new laptop fund.
If I counted right, I’ve made $570 in just tips this month and that’s more than I typically make in a week which is insane.
