I grew up in the golden age of racing & followed most of it: F1, IndyCar, endurance, rally, LSR, Pikes Peak, etc. I was especially enamored with drag racing, as my brother took me to watch races at Connecticut Dragway. I had a poster of this classic photo (by Bob McClurg) of Wild Willie on my wall.
