#SecondLife Confession: last week I downloaded the official @secondlife.bsky.social viewer and got totally lost in the UI. Lots of noise coming from various groups. Apparently there is no way to turn off certain chatty group? All or nothing? I gave it a fair shot. Now back on Firestorm. tyvm.

I was very tempted to have LL enable WebRTC Voice on my #SecondLife region, but I think I will hold off till March. Apparently there are still a lot of bugs and issues that need to be worked out before the grid rollout. 🤞

Over the past couple of years i've been helping my friend Rez Gray's project to map out the #SLMainland and it's given me an appreciation of the connectedness and communities of #SecondLife compared to other instanced virtual worlds where the only form of travel is a teleport and loading screen.

The topic of #SecondLIfe Maps came up in the Web Users Group mtg today. Many in attendance and a couple of the Lindens seemed to agree that new users might be surprised to discover how vast Second Life is when viewed on a map. This may help them in discovering more of the platform.
