Pro tip: if you’ve just slid over the back side of middle age and want to feel young for a night, go see a band your parents used to listen to when you were a kid. I’m the youngest audience member by at least a decade.

I did a thing this year for the first time. I had personalized stockings made for my girls. I always avoided this because there was no guarantee they would be with me from one year to the next. I was afraid of the heartbreak of seeing the stockings if they were gone. Not this year. No more fear. ❤️

My 4 year old asked what the lines of clouds were in the sky when we were driving home just now. I explained they were called contrails and how they are formed. She understood perfectly. A 4 year old understands why contrails happen. There is hope for the future!
